A conversation with Jackson and me in the car this morning:

Jackson: "Mom, when Grandpa goes to heaven, will he still be sick?"

Me: "No Jackson, we have perfect bodies in heaven."

Jackson: "Will Grandpa know Nannie(his other great grandparent)?"

Me: "I think so!"

Jackson: "Will anyone cry in heaven?"

Me: "No Jackson, God made heaven perfect and promises he will wipe away all our tears."

Jackson: Excitment fills his voice,"Cool!"

Me:"It will be great when we get there!'

Jackson: "I am ready when you are!"

Resurrection Rolls

I make these with my kids every Easter morning. You get breakfast and great lesson!

Resurrection Rolls
Ingredients:
1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
8 large marshmallows
Melted butter
Cinnamon
Sugar

Directions:
Give each child one triangle shaped section of crescent roll. This represents the tomb.
Each child takes one marshmallow which represents the body of Christ.
Dip the marshmallow in the butter and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. This represents the oils and spices the body was anointed with upon burial.
Lay the marshmallow on the dough and carefully wrap it around the marshmallow.
Make sure all seams are pinched together well. (Otherwise the marshmallow will "ooze" out of the seams)
Bake according to package directions.
Cool.

Break open the tomb and the body of Christ is no longer there!!
Celebrate God's love!

How You Know You Married a Redneck

You know you married a redneck when you come home, flowers are waiting for you, and you tell your son how wonderful your husband is and he says, "Yeah, dad says the men have to buy the crap the ladies like!"
