Tuesday's Token

A Puritan once said that the death of a loved one "will make life a little less sweet and death will be a little less bitter."

Hi sweet Kasey,
Thanks for the visit today. It's funny, seeing that a friend has stopped by your blog gives a girl such warm heart. I loved hearing from you today so I wanted to visit High Heels right back!!
Have an awesome Christmas!
Bless you,
Pat

I have a friend today whose father was in that terrible accident on Falcon Highway this a.m. Being on the edge of eternity tonight...life indeed does not feel so sweet. Life actually feels very unsafe and downright scary sometimes. Do we ever know how short? Do we understand its brevity? But oh, the thought of heaven. When Jesus is our all in all, the end is the beginning. Death swallowed in victory!
Staying head over heels in love with Him and not worrying about the trials in life...that is our goal.

Wow, that's so true. We had a death in our family this week, and I know she is living the sweet eternal life right now.

Paul wrote, "Absent from the body, present with the Lord." Death, for those who believe, is not a dark grave to be feared but an open door into the very presence of God. Blessings.
