Infants!

I am doing lots of walking with my new niece. She won't stop crying unless you walk, pat, and bounce. Once she is good and asleep you can keep her quiet if you bounce when you sit and rock back and forth. I forgot what it is like to have a new born. They are lots of work. It is probably why Paul wants us to "no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. (Ephesians 4:14-15). When we have infants we do these things - pat, walk, and bounce and occasionally rock them. But not for long. Next time I come, Malia should be a bit farther along in her maturity. She won't need to be coddled so much. I must ask the question, do we need to be coddled? Are we moving along in our maturity in Christ? I sure hope so, babies are lots of work!

Wow, how adorable! Your lovely niece doesn't even look more than just a few weeks old...I betting no more than 6, if that. How old is she?
Oh she looks so lovable! What a blessing to hold a little one that size once again.
